Innocent, the owner of the place, just safed our whole journey to Tansania. He helped us a lot with understanding the country and it’s locals and how to handle some of the difficulties we encountered while travelling there. We also booked our Safari to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro with him and everything worked just perfect. All of his recommendations turned out to be just the best – from restaurants, to places we visited later on during our trip.
And of course the garden of the house is just a dream – quiet and relaxing!

The host was amazing — super friendly, warm, and always helpful. The property truly felt like home, nothing like the usual hostel or homestay setup. Loved the peaceful vibe, the chill energy of the host, and the cutest dog to play with. If you want to have a peaceful stay with lovely host, this is your stay in Arusha. A perfect stay overall. 10/10 for me.

The accommodation was a perfect choice for spending 1–2 days in Arusha. It’s located in a peaceful area away from the city buzz, yet only about a 10-minute drive (by car or motorbike) from the city center.
The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, and made us feel completely at home.
Breakfast was very generous, and on the morning of our departure the owner even drove us to the bus stop for our onward journey to Moshi.
We were also able to pay in USD, which was a nice bonus.
And the bed was incredibly comfortable to sleep in!
Highly recommended.

Had the best time here! The host is wonderful and super kind, and will help you with drivers, safari and anything else you need!! Ended up letting my luggage stay at the place while i went on Safari! Would 100% stay here again! And they have the cutest dog as well ☺️☺️☺️

From the moment I walked into this place, I instantly felt at home. I’ve traveled a lot and stayed in many accommodations around the world, and I truly don’t say this often – this stay was something special.

Everything is incredibly clean and well organized, and you can really feel the care and attention to detail. What makes this place truly outstanding, though, is Innocent the host. He is exceptionally kind, warm-hearted, and genuinely helpful. His friendly and welcoming nature is the cherry on top and made my entire experience unforgettable.

He also organized a safari for me, and it was absolutely amazing – perfectly arranged and an unforgettable experience. I had such a wonderful time and couldn’t have asked for more.

I can wholeheartedly recommend staying here. If you’re visiting Arusha, this is the place to be!

Its is Amazing to stay there. The Guys very friendly and you feel like Home there. He help In all things you need. And Take so Much time for everyone to answer all questions. He organised all for you. All is soo clean and you can have a very Good meal for 5 Dollar only. The Town isnt far away by feet Only 15 Minutes when you Go very slowly. Thank you for all!!

extremely helpful, a lot of insights on tours and beyond that help save money. Comfortable house, feels like home after long safari tour, cooking and doing laundry. Distance to town is walkable and convenient during the day. I went back after the first to stay a second time, feeling I could come home before moving on.

The hospitalilty of the manager (Innocent) was realy great. Upfront he helped us with booking for an 5 day safari. And after the safare it realy feels you coming home. We stayed there with our 2 daughters of resp 12 and 14 years. For them it fells so good. Innocent thanks again !

Upon arrival you step into a place where you get warmly welcomed. Innocent was there for us and our questions whenever needed, also before arrival responded to all mails quickly and informative. We had him also arrange the Safari, which was perfect. He knows some funny episodes about the National Parks and especially the crater he is happy to share when you ask. Lovely breakfast at a time that suits you and optional dinner (even for vegetarians if you require) . We loved his playful dog Castro a lot and the beautiful garden. And on the last night enjoyed soccer+drinks with him and his lovely girlfriend. All in all a fantastic stay. We recommend and will certainly stay there if we ever return to Arusha.

· We had an amazing stay at Mazzola. This hostel is a secluded hidden gem located just outside the hustle and bustle of down town Arusha. It offers a comfortable and homely environment with a beautiful garden to relax (and opportunity to play with the friendly dog, Castro). Whilst the fixtures and fittings within the bedroom are slightly aged, the cleanliness is all that matters.
Whilst the property itself was great, the thing that really made our stay was Innocent, the host. He is a super cool and relaxed guy who is welcoming and accommodating. He gave us all the local guidance we needed, which in my opinion, is much more valuable than the hostel itself. We would definitely stay here again!!
